I just made my first ever Kale chips and let me tell you...WOW!! Even if you're not a raw foodist you will not be able to stop eating these delicious little bites of heaven. I know I already did a recipe this week but you should pull out your dehydrator (or turn your oven to 100 degrees) and give these babies a test run. You'll be hooked. Betcha can't eat just one!
Kale Chips
2 bunches kale (whatever variety you want)
3/4C tahini
1-3T Bragg's
1T apple cider vinegar
juice of 1 lemon
1 clove garlic
1/4-3/4C water
Rinse kale well, remove leaves from center stem and break into chip sized pieces (about 1.5 square inches). Blend together all remaining ingredients. Add enough water to make it slightly more runny than ranch dressing but not so runny that it won't stick to the kale. Drizzle dressing over kale and mix together (preferably with your hands) until all kale is well coated.
Lay kale evenly on dehydrator trays or cookie sheets (if using the oven) and dehydrate for 2 hours at 115. Flip kale and rotate tray and dehydrate for an additional 2 or 3 hours. Enjoy! (And try to share...if possible)
